MOTIVE POWER CHANGE FOR THURSO TRIP

Tommorow’s trip from Linthigow to Thurso featuring 40145 will now be top & tailed with 57601. Unfortunately, despite some valiant efforts, ‘Deltic’ 55022 will not be available for the tour. All effort is being made to maximise the use of 40145 on the train and hopefully 57601 should provide heat and do the minimum amount of work.

SHED APPEAL LAUNCHED

We are pleased to announce that we have started a shed appeal, to raise money for two places within a new diesel shed to be built at Bury on the East Lancashire Railway. To ensure the continued preservation and succesful operation of the Society's two Class 40 Locomotives, D335 & 40145, it is essential that covered accomodation is provided as soon as possible.

We need to raise a minimum of £20,000 as soon as possible to ensure guaranteed covered accommodation.

Once this goal has been achieved, working conditions will be more conducive to preparing D335 for a possible return to the main line.

Please help us out, all donations will be gratefully received and cheques should be made payable to "Class 40 Preservation Society" and sent to:CFPS Shed Appeal, c/o 22 The Chase, Boreham, Essex CM3 3DY

Click Here for a donation form or if you would be kind enough to make a regular direct debit payment please click here.

Thank you in anticipation of your support.
